About us

The GRAND GARAGE is the MakerSpace with an educational workshop located in the Tabakfabrik Linz. Spanning nearly 2,000 square meters, our modern facilities provide space for creative work, innovation projects, experimentation, knowledge exchange, and networking.

With easy access, the GRAND GARAGE offers a wide range of technologies such as laser cutters, electronics (IoT), 3D printing & scanning, embroidery machines, and screen printing. Here, individuals can bring their ideas to life, build prototypes, and enhance their skills through hands-on workshops.

Young people, in particular, are encouraged to explore digital and analog technologies in numerous workshops, discover personal strengths, and develop holistic competencies.

The GRAND GARAGE is part of TGW Future Wings, the social entrepreneurship division in the TGW World, aiming to make a positive impact in society.

"World of TGW" circle. Inside: "Focussing on people – learning and growing". Outside: TGW Future Private Foundation – Owner, Founder, uses at least 30% of TGW Logistics distribution for TGW Future Wings; TGW Future Wings – Social Entrepreneurship, new ways of doing business; TGW Logistics – Industrial Entrepreneurship, distributes 1/3 of its operating profit to TGW Future Private Foundation

The “TGW World” consists of the TGW Future Private Foundation as well as the two foundation areas TGW Logistics and TGW Future Wings. Since 2007, the non-profit TGW Future Wings area, with its legal entities Future Wings Private Foundation, Schule Morgen Private Foundation, and CAP.future GmbH, has bundled resources and activities in the field of education. Since July 1, 2026, the educational projects have been gradually consolidated under the name TGW Future Wings GmbH. In line with the foundations philosophy, “Focusing on people – learning and growing,” pioneering educational projects are initiated and supported.

The aim is to support young people by accompanying them on their path toward a self-determined, independent, and responsible future through holistic personal development. In the current nine projects, the focus is therefore not merely on imparting theoretical knowledge, but above all on developing a wide range of skills and engaging deeply with each individual’s inner world. In the 2024/2025 financial year, approximately 34,000 people benefited from TGW Future Wings non-profit educational initiatives.
